Can I lock the aspect ratio when resizing?
Yes. Toggle the chain icon between the width and height inputs. When locked, changing one dimension updates the other to preserve proportions.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
Downscaling (making an image smaller) is effectively lossless in visible terms. Upscaling (making it larger) cannot add detail that isn't there, so it may appear soft.
What's a good size for web images?
For full-width hero images, 1920px wide is plenty. For in-line content images, 1200px is typically enough. Smaller dimensions mean smaller files and faster pages.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. All resizing happens locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
What image formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF — the output keeps the same format as the input.
