Resize FAQ
- Can I lock the aspect ratio when resizing?
- Yes. Toggle the chain icon between the width and height inputs. When locked, changing one dimension updates the other to preserve proportions.
- Does resizing reduce image quality?
- Downscaling (making an image smaller) is effectively lossless in visible terms. Upscaling (making it larger) cannot add detail that isn't there, so it may appear soft.
- What's a good size for web images?
- For full-width hero images, 1920px wide is plenty. For in-line content images, 1200px is typically enough. Smaller dimensions mean smaller files and faster pages.
- Are my images uploaded anywhere?
- No. All resizing happens locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
- What image formats are supported?
- JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF — the output keeps the same format as the input.
